Look at me now!

First day back on track with the diet went pretty well, I was often hungry but with all my snacks, I was
able to control my hunger.

How are you doing in these winter days? Is laziness overpowering you? I hope not because if you look outside, of course there is now, but all this snow will melt faster then you think and will you be ready for bikini season?

I prepared my lunch for Day 2 of my comeback:

Meals:

Breakfast: Activia yogourt with Yogactive Cereal that I keep at work and a banana.
Snack: Cottage Cheese with blueberries
Lunch: Salad, grape tomatoes, mushrooms and tuna and Chocolate jello for desert
Snack: Radish and Ficello cheese: not at the same time

Also to mention that I keep natural almonds at my desk which I eat about 8 a day and also
oatmeal if I get hungry by the end of the day.

I guess I am good to go.

Training wise, still to come...trying to stabilize my eating habits first and I will keep you posted.

Have a great night!

Classes and Stuff...

As I've mentioned before, I give a bootcamp class twice a week and it's intense as my class followers would say....What I've been doing is jumping in time to time to either show the moves/exercise or motivate the class to push even more, but I will do as much of it as possible...possible meaning as much as my cardio allows to tell you the truth...this chicita is a drill sergeant...and voice raised, muscles going...my breathing is not easily in check. But I will try my best and slowly build that endurance.
For those people out there that want to add cardio to their routine, classes is a great way to do it. It's fun, you're part of a group of people in the same boat and time will fly..before you know it, an hour has passed and you're sweating bullets.

Apart from the classes, I'll be doing 3-4 days of resistance training...weights, elastics, med balls, etc...I'll be working in circuits and practicing what I preach...what does that mean, well...with my girls...the girls I train, I promote doing intense cardio in between circuits. So...to recap without going into too much detail, I will do 3-4 exercises in a row twice...then 2-3 min of cardio...on the treadmill, stair master or even plyos. I'd like to have 4-5 circuits...depending if legs are being worked on that day or not...Days that legs are involved, 4 circuits max...

I wanted to add some pics and explain some exercise but I don't want to rush this...so I will take my time tomorrow evening to compile good pics and prep a solid and clear explanation...hope that's ok with everyone...

Have a great night everyone...

For real now!

Hello to all,

Where have I been since December 23rd 2010? I've been enjoying eating all I want, laziness took over and it felt great to take a long break. Now that I am ready to get fit, I am turning the switch on again and I hope you will be able to follow. I missed you all, but I needed some time away.

Now my sexy body is far from reality but let's get up and do it!

Are you with me?

Bootcamp and other training...

I give a boot camp class twice a week. I don't do the whole thing, myself...just some of it to show the exercises and sometimes do a full circuit when I feel the class needs some more motivation when they're near the limits...that alone gets me sweating bullets. 1st class I gave was mega intense...the 2nd class fell on a Saturday and only 2 people showed up. Did they hate it????? Actually, come Monday (when I give class 1 of the week) it was a full house. Everyone was back, turns out the class was unable to walk for days after my workout...I was very sore, as well...just from the bits and pieces I did do... interesting....so I decided to tweak my training to involve more of what I 'preach' in my classes...So why is it so great? It's INTENSE...intense interval training with little or no weights needed other than body weight...How you may ask...well, it's a combination of exercises and lots of plyometrics...with very little breaks in between...to get you sweating as much as possible as fast as possible.I believe in efficiency. Maximize workouts so you DON'T need to be at the gym for 3 hours. You'd be surprised how hard you can work and how much you can do in just 45min - 1hour.
Now for sure this is not the type of workout for someone that wants to bulk up, then again, most girls don't want that anyway...this chicita included....
I need to sweat sweat sweat!!!! Burning all those excess calories and pounds. So tonight, Saturday, I'm working on my personal workout for the next week...test it out and see. I'll post the program this week at some point, so keep reading!

Guess who's back?

Happy New Year 16 days later. Where was I all this time? Working, eating and sleeping but enough is enough! I am back and ready for round 2. I ve been really really bad, my best friend Mcdonalds made a come back.  How to get out of it? It s all self motivation and I guess that vacation is over and I need to get back to business...bikini time is in 6 months and I need a lot of work before I even think of exposing myself.

Weather has been not to bad, I need to start walking at night after dinner....but with my crazy schedule and by the time I get back from work and eat, it's almost time for bed.

I will start slowly with going back to the gym...I ll keep you posted on my first day back.

Don't give up on me, I will succeed.

Love,

Making Time...

I bought a new exercise Ball. I mentioned in my last post that part of the excuses I'm using is lack of time. So, I bought this ball...I've already got a few awesome exercise elastics...and a few weights...there's a lot that can be done right in the comfort of your own home...though I prefer being in a gym environment, if and when I face those days that time is lacking, I can take a small 30 min to do an intense at-home workout. Yes, 30 min...that may seem like little but that's 30 min more than what I would have done on that busy day...right?!? Right!!! And done right, can be very effective! I'll try this out ...along with my clean-eating, it will help show the target results I want on the scale soon enough...so, I'll let you know.

Slow Start but on the way....

Slow start to the new year but still going....I need to be more consistent. Point. Ups and downs, busy moments, rushes...it seems to come up quite often. I always hear it and I fall into that trap quite often these past few weeks but 2011 is here and I have goals I want to achieve. I know I've failed myself this past while...I think about it everyday...every morning when I wake up...every evening...it consumes me at times...you begin to think about a lot of other things that are not working out as you planned...why is that so...you question the 'what if's' and 'why's' of things happening or not happening in your life...funny how things are all connected...it all starts in the head...your thoughts...your perspective...and all the planning in the world can't make anything happen without the right mind frame and actions to support them. I've become a pro at planning...a pro at preaching and teaching others...now I have to master getting things done for me.

So, next short term goal....although I want MORE, I intend to lose 1 lb a week....1....I would like to hit at least 2 but 1 will do for now...I'll move from there...haven't weighed myself this week, but last weigh in that took place last week I was 144.5 lb...

I will be direct and honest...here are the EXCUSES I have...all true but something has got to give:
1) Migraine (like today, I have a really bad one that's been there all day).
2) Finishing too late from work/gym (clients).
3) Want to spend time with my boyfriend.
4) Want to spend time with my folks.
and worst 5) Just did my hair....don't want to get sweaty.....YES I SAID THAT...I know...horrible.

I will look at this more closely and work at it...I'll let you know.

BTW...it's 11/01/11....make a wish....something you can't control but want to happen...I know I have...

Holidays end...

Haven't blogged in a bit...holiday rush...was away from the computer quite a bit. So what's going on? Ok, so I'm human... as I always knew and, in case I forgot, I reminded myself during the past week or so. I started 'the challenge' really well...then flopped this past week or so....no, I didn't eat fast food or tons of ice cream and cake, but I did have more than my portion share we could say...everything was quite tempting and I had a few days of misses when it comes to my clean-eating. And to top it, due to time and many many, and did I mention MANY, stomach aches, my training lagged, as well. Stomach aches...yes...as I discovered, my body, that's been used to eating very well and very clean seems to be rejecting my holiday eating habits...I've literally had a stomach ache on and off for about a week now. My guess is it's the eating habits of the past week...we'll see in a few days when I clean out my system from the stock that was ingested...I already prepped my meals for tomorrow and today I ate very proportionately...I have a stomach ache as I write this...just finished eating a chicken soup which, though not gourmet, I made myself and, I must admit, it did well for my tummy.

Weighed myself this morning...so what's the damage to this eating fest...well...I'm about 2.5 lbs lighter than the last time I weighed myself...not too bad for readers just tuning in...but those of you following know that I was to have achieved my objective as of yesterday...the 1st...not even close but a few lessons learned that will stay with me for a long time...1...stay focused (keep your eyes on the prize)...2...eat light before an event that includes food (when you're not hungry, you're less likely to want to eat all the 'good' stuff there)...3...eating too much or eating 'un-clean' foods too frequently gives you major tummy aches...

So what's the next step for me...well...still focused. As soon as my stomach is back to normal, I will train hard...NEED TO...in my stomach ache off periods, I had a great training this past Saturday...I need that to happen at least 4 to 5 times a week. That's the plan...I will keep you posted...

In the meantime, I wish everyone a very happy new year with lots of love, health and happiness...I myself had a great year end spending the last minutes of 2010 with the love of my life...though I've been very emotional during this past while, I'm very happy and I love every minute I spend with my love...I look forward to this next year and all the things to come for us...love...isn't it great!
